Syllabus
You will obtain the qualification of graduate in Geography and Spatial Planning after taking and passing 240 ECTS organized over four academic years of 60 ECTS.
Each course is broken down into two semesters of 30 ECTS each. In the fi rst year, students are taught the basic training subjects of the social and legal sciences (60 ECTS), in the second and third years the compulsory subjects (120 ECTS), which are general or fundamental in nature, whereas in the fourth year, students take optional subjects (30 ECTS) organized into so-called intensifi cations and minors, and, also the compulsory Final Project (18 ECTS) and the External Internships (12 ECTS).

External internship
In the fourth year, you will spend a period in companies or institutions gaining work experience complementing your university training. The compulsory nature of this subject and its contents make it one of the main training axes of the qualification since you will be able to gain professional contact with your chosen area of activity, according to the training profi le you wish to follow.
The Faculty of Tourism and Geography is highly experienced in handling and planning
external internships which guarantees its effectiveness. In this sense the Faculty collaborates with the main companies and institutions of the area in the fi eld of geography and spatial planning: consultants; management study offi ces, environmental offi ces; public institutions such as town councils, county councils and others.

Final project
The aim of this task is for you to demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary skills and abilities leading to the production, presentation and defence of a compilation or basic initiation to research report or an original, unpublished professional project, applying the suitable methodology.
The suitability of the content will be assessed, as will the structure and your oral and written communication skills. In addition, you will have to show creative and analytical abilities when presenting new results concerning your chosen topic.

Academic mobility
- ERASMUS PROGRAMME This allows the academic mobility of students within the European Union. Currently, the Faculty of Tourism and Geography has bilateral agreements in the fi eld of geography and spatial planning with universities in France, Greece, Malta, Portugal and Sweden.
- SICUE PROGRAMME This allows the academic mobility of students within Spanish universities. Currently, the Faculty of Tourism and Geography has bilateral agreements with 8 universities.
- MOU PROGRAMME This allows academic mobility of students in a foreign institution of higher education outside the European Union with which the URV has an agreement.

Framed within the fi elds of: geographic information technologies, environment, spatial planning and management, knowledge society and socioeconomic and spatial development.

Specificities
- CARTOGRAPHY AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS CLASSROOMS These classrooms are duly equipped with computers with the suitable software and materials for the teaching of the different related subjects.
- THE PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY LABORATORY The laboratory has a specifi c area and material to provide support for the fieldwork carried out for the Physical Geography subjects taken.
